Question & Answer

1. What ethical considerations must be made by someone using Photoshop to retouch a portrait photograph?
An ethical consideration when using Photoshop would be that you don't want to change the way a person looks.  You want to keep the features that define them.  Photoshop is used for small things you want to fix or things you don't want in the picture.

2. Give an example of a positive use of photo retouching and a negative use of photo retouching.
A positive use would be if you have a certain mark on your face that you don't like you can cover it up.  A negative affect would be if you didn't know how to use Photoshop correctly you could ruin the picture.

3. Has learning retouching processes caused you to look at advertisements, magazine images and other published photos of celebrities and models differently? In what ways?
Yes, i have realized that the people in the pictures don't always look like that.  When I used Photoshop I found out how much you really can change on your face.  The people in the magazines never have any problems on there face nobody is perfect.  Sometimes it is nice to see real people in the magazines.
